The manufacturing base of the country should be increased, as we have aplenty of products, techonology yet untapped by our local and foreign investors whom are not yet engaging in the manufacturing of those products viable for exports.
The condition of the country's economy is dependent of the capability of the manufacturing sector to produce and counter the trade deficit of the country everywhere.
The current situation of our manufacturing sector is very much behind to date compared with our neighboring industrialized countries. This condition must be addressed immediately to defend our economy against inflation and other dangerous factors that will make this country suffer gravely if we will not attend to the plight of this sector that is viewed to be a counter balance on trade deficits with our advanced neighbors.
The manufacturing base is determined today as not comparable with other countries in the region as the investments among locals and foreign is very low.
The savior to our economy is a robust manufacturing sector. The government itself must attend, promote, assist more the industries in the country specially the manufacturing as the potent leader of it.
Comparative analysis shall be the basis of any study in particular to determine the ills and symptoms of the economy which leads us to the sector of the manufacturing.
Trade deficits alone is the key to discover this symptom. Our trade imbalance with China, Japan, Hong Kong, Korea, among others in the region is a sign enough to easily find the cure or the counter measures to be taken instead of going or acquiring high profile studies to determine solutions to our our low economic condition.
If we are willing to accept that we are losers in the trading exchanges of any certain country for example like China, will automatically create in us a solution direct or indirect to balance our economy through trading with that particular country. This alone is a simple act to make measures to solve economic problems.
One example is Japan.
We have been importing all cars, trucks, machinery from this country that therefore it shall creep into our minds that such situation shall be checked why such thing occur in our practice to let this country dominate and dictate our economy through their automotive industry. There are no Filipino Cars, or trucks ramming out streets and highways, all oif them Japanese brands. By this condition, the amount of billions of dollars every year from our foreign reserves goes to Japan, and this country is laughing at us because our saved dollars are hacked at this scheme actually.
We hardly find and save foreign reserves to continually exist in the international trade, and keep afloat our economy through it. With the current set up of our Industry that we do not until now create an automotive industry of four own, we will remain a hostage of Japan, siphoning our dollars and foreign reserves for their benefit and use.
We have been focusing of pushing our countrymen to go and work abroad as OFWs. just ot earn that dollars for our economy, tagged as the "Mga Bagong Bayani", yet,
the real situation to finding more dollars is self sustaining actually by the form and formula of the manufacturing sector. We don't have to go far across overseas just to find and collect those dollars needed at home, yet spend them, or give them to the Japanese?
The same now that is happening with the current situation in our relation with China. Trump has been very vocal of this that china is killing the American economy due to their manufacturing sectors, a great portion of their industry is now lost to China.
Read about the article
This thinking and objective to concentrate on the manufacturing sector must be the top priority of the government before things gets out of hand. It must be known that the reality is this, that unless we do not go serious about increasing our manufacturing base in the country, the poverty condition of our people will remain.
