The relevance of this information about microsoft leaving and selling its factory in Vietnam has something to do with our thinking in the country, which by the take over of foxconn, a Taiwanese based company, we can grasp the situation as a study with our own position in industries, factories, technology, investments, and foreign earnings with regards to the change of hands over the Nokia, Microsoft smartphone which is a thing of technology and foreign currency earnings for the the Philippines itself.
Foreign Investments.
Simply, there is an envy with the kind of good situation in Vietnam about their improvement and progress brought about by foreign companies investing there, that such favorable conditions of this country as being the choice for their businesses, among other companies like Samsung who are world leaders today in the smartphone market. The very question of why the Philippines was left behind of these investment frenzies in the region is a mind boggling crisis to our position who needs these giant techs to invest in the country.
Exports
The needed situation now is to increase our exports and raise foreign currency reserves that would supplant the condition of our depleting dollar possessions, that without the increase of exports as base for defending our local currency, its effects would be cost of living in the country would rise, an inflation.
More Factories
Increased manufacturing in the country is needed to create employment, revenue and the needed technology transfer for the country. It will also create new products that would counter imported items and reduce dispensation of the US dollar. It will also lead to benefit the country for the technology that can be translated into military application that's needed to be modernized locally, and indigenously. The PD 415 of Marcos is one that will be enhanced and developed.
